Implant Bridge with Cantilever Pontic

Due to limited bone in site #29, a cantilever pontic allowed for a fixed solution

A 63 year old female had been using a partial denture unsuccessfully and wanted a fixed solution. At the time of surgery it was clear that the #29 site was too thin bucco-lingually for an implant, while the # 30 and 31 sites were excellent. To avoid ridge augmentation and the associated time/cost, a fixed bridge with implants in sites 30 and 31 with a cantilever to #29 was recommended. Below are the pre-op panoramic and immediate post-op xrays.
